At 3.30am this morning we started our stint for Relay for life. We walked until 6am - I had a few 15 minute breaks - but hubby walked just about the whole time bar about 15 minutes. This is photo taken about 4.30am of the bags around the edge of the track - they are very dodgy phone photos !!

I HATE public toilets -

The last 24 hours I've had a horrible migraine - so have barely left the couch. Today in one of my short stints of being awake I looked over to see Dukey in one of his favourite places - fortunately the camera bag was beside me so I got a quick snap - Diesel was asleep on the pillow in the foreground but moved when I was getting the camera out.

I couldn't make a decision between the photos today !! - Diesel having a rest on the couch between Hubbies feet or Dukey laying in the sun !!

We went to a beautiful ANZAC service this morning and now ready for a lazy day and perhaps a nap when hubby watches the ANZAC Day match between Essendon and Collingwood.

24.4.11 ~ Happy Easter

I hope everyone had a great Easter

We had a lovely day at home on Easter Sunday. The weather was beautiful and we spent the day outside fixing a gate. We have a large block but due to one of our dogs being a digger - we have to fence them off and only allow them out on the back half when we are with them. Hubby had a wonderful day using all his power tools !! The dogs loved running around all day on the block and I enjoyed being the apprentice and sunshine !!

Tonight we headed into the city to watch the Twilight Parade - unfortunately my camera didn't like the light or lack there of (must invest in an external flash) So I don't have any photos of the parade - but hubby did stop for me so I could get a quick photo of the cathedral - such a beautiful building.

There sure is a food theme this week !!

Today we had a lovely day at my brother's house for Good Friday. My family are full of chefs and excellent cooks - unfortunately that gene skipped me !! My Brother and his wife cooked the most magnificent lunch for us. Being Good Friday we had a delicious arrangement of seafood - yummy my favourite !! My Sister inlaw''s father and I were the only ones who ate oysters - as he was travelling after lunch I was VERY lucky to bring home with me a dozen oysters - which I ate with delight for dinner !! It was a lovely day and we finished off with a competition of Mario Kart !!

I love Sushi !!

Today I had a go at making it myself !! I managed the rolling and it tasted fantastic but I need to work on how to roll so that the ingredients are in the middle rather than on the edge !! Still though I was impressed with my efforts - I'll certainly do it again !

A great way to spend Monday !! Having lunch with friends at favourite our meeting place - T'Hooft in Bendigo.

Today I had Caesar Salad with Salmon - My gawd it was good !!

It was on a bed of cos lettuce and avocado, with crispy porchetta and fresh salmon. It also had toasted turkish bread cut in triangles amongst it. Not to forget the egg in the centre sprinkled with finely shaved parmesan (almost like snow flakes) and drizzled in their delicious secret sauce.

Before we headed home today we decided to head to IKEA for a look around - You could spend all day in that place !! We found MANY things we liked - but we didn't make any major purchases (for now) !!

Today I headed to the MCG for the Essendon Vs Carlton Game - I don't follow either team, but Hubby goes for Essendon and my friend Katie from http://katieshutterbug.blogspot.com/

barracks for Carlton - I was the middle man - But I must confess I cheered loudly for Essendon and I think I may have been the only person who stood up and cheered the draw !!! It was a great game and there were a lot of heart rates going super quick and a few may have even stopped !!

After the game we headed into Melbourne Central to the Lion Hotel and had a delicious meal and a few Pear Ciders !! We always have a great time staying with Katie and her hubby .

Today I caught the train to Melbourne to meet a friend for lunch. I unfortunately forgot my ear phones so was a little bored on the ride down!! It appeared to be a dark and gloomy day outside but as the day went on it turned out to be a lovely day. I enjoyed a beautiful lunch at The Transport Bar in Federation Square and in wonderful company of a gorgeous friend. I was also introduced to Gypsy Cider which I enjoyed very much .

Today hubby brought a new trailer - he is very excited - it is the last of the money from the sale of the Barbie Truck - I am excited - yay we are going to the tip !! Some of the best finds are found at the tip shop !!

Today my furbaby was "sterilised" (de-sexed)

He was a very groggy when we got home and didn't want to leave my side. He was funny coming out of the vet he was trying to wee on everything but he was so wonky he was almost tumbling over.

After a BIG night !! I went to bed early (like 12am) BUT as I drank pre-mixed drinks it took a while for the coke to wear off !! Then I was stupidly awake early - like 6.30am !! Thank god for Iphone Facebook and Angry birds to keep me entertained !! This is Diesel having a sleep on my pillow - looks funny cause you can't see his eyes !! - Very much ready for an alinap now but had a magnificent evening !
